Osaka continues to expand its tourism offerings with five exciting new attractions opening throughout 2026. Here’s what visitors can look forward to.

1. Osaka Digital Art Museum (Opening March 2026)

Located in the Nakanoshima district, this immersive museum will feature works by teamLab and other digital art pioneers. The 5,000 square meter space will host rotating exhibitions throughout the year.

2. Namba Sky Garden (Opening May 2026)

A new rooftop garden complex in the heart of Namba, featuring restaurants, observation decks, and seasonal flower displays. The venue will offer stunning views of the Osaka skyline.

3. Osaka Castle Night Experience (Opening April 2026)

A new evening light show and walking experience around Osaka Castle. Visitors can enjoy projection mapping on the castle walls and illuminated gardens.

4. Shinsekai Food Hall (Opening July 2026)

A modern food hall celebrating Osaka’s culinary heritage. Over 30 local vendors will serve everything from kushikatsu to takoyaki in a stylish, renovated warehouse space.

5. Bay Area Aquarium Expansion (Opening September 2026)

The famous Kaiyukan Aquarium in Tempozan will open a new wing dedicated to Arctic marine life, featuring a walk-through tunnel and interactive exhibits.
