The Charm of Osaka

Osaka is famous as a food lover's paradise, but its cityscape is just as captivating. Some cruises pass famous spots like Osaka Castle and Dotonbori, so you can see the city from the many rivers that run through it.

Types of Cruises Available in Japan

Cruises in Japan can be broadly grouped into three types: sightseeing cruises, dinner cruises, and party cruises. Here is how they differ.

Sightseeing Cruises

As the name suggests, sightseeing cruises are built around the views. They pass well-known landmarks, and some include commentary. Visitors to Japan are especially encouraged to try this type.

Dinner Cruises

Dinner cruises let you eat while you watch the scenery go by. A meal with a view of the night skyline makes a good special-occasion plan.

Party Cruises

Party cruises are built around onboard festivity. They often include lively events such as music, dancing and games.

Points to Consider When Choosing a Cruise

There are a few points to keep in mind when you pick one.

Choose According to Your Purpose

Sightseeing cruises suit people who want to sit back and enjoy the scenery. Dinner cruises suit people who want a good meal. Party cruises suit people who want a lively atmosphere.

Study the Route

Each cruise in this article follows a different route. Check the route ahead of time so you do not miss the sights you came for.

Review the Precautions

Cruises have different policies on weather cancellations, boarding rules, luggage and outside food. Check these before you go.
